PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS MAY 1

Online student priority registration will begin on Monday, May 1, 2023. All students, current and new, who will attend a VISD school in the 2023-24 school year must register using the online system, including those entering the Early Childhood Center and Pre-K.

THE EARLY EDUCATION CENTER AT F.W. GROSS TO HOST REGISTRATION ROUND-UP FOR ALL VISD FAMILIES

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the Early Childhood Center at F.W. Gross will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a registration round-up for all VISD families.

VISD STUDENTS HELP LEAD THE STATE OF THE DISTRICT PRESENTATION

On Wednesday, April 12, local business leaders gathered to hear the State of the District presentation but instead were joined by elementary students, first, second, and third grade, and middle school students who lead a hands-on assignment for attendees.

Our Alumni Spotlight for the month of April will be coming up on his six-year high school graduation anniversary next month.

Enrrique Santa Cruz graduated from Liberty Academy (now Victoria ISD Success Academy) in 2017.

SCHOOL MATTERS: VISD SUCCESS ACADEMY, MORE THAN CREDIT RECOVERY

The VISD Success Academy (VSA), formally Liberty Academy, is an alternative school designed to accommodate the educational, behavioral, and/or medical needs of children and adolescents that cannot be adequately addressed in a traditional school environment. The most common programs alternative schools house are Credit Recovery and a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP).

Victoria ISD's Leadership Definition, Leading Toward Genius, is separated into three categories: Connecting, Growing, and Reaching. This month our focus is on celebrating Reaching for Genius. Reaching for Genius is comprised of four indicators; the first is Creates Pathways for All.

Each campus selected one employee that embodies the "Creates Pathways for All" indicator under Reaching.
